Our new Home

Sooo.. it has been a long time since my last post, but it was really stressful!! And fun ;) 
Okay, so before we came over here, my friends made a surprise "saying Goodbye" party. 
I was really surprised!! We had a lot of fun that night, but it was sad, because I knew I wouldn't see them for a very long time. They gave me also a gift. A book where they wrote something in it and some put photos in it, I love it!! The next day my Parents gave a goodbye party. That means 2 nights partying... 
pretty cool :D. But we still had to pack a lot. 
More than one week before we left I moved to my grandparents, since we hadn't that much left at home. And the morning we left, I got another surprise. It was 5:30 a.m. when I went outside to put my luggage in the car, and 4 of my friends were standing there with posters they made. It was just awesome!! And then we really had to say Goodbye. This was so hard and sad because I have amazing friends and I didn't want to leave them :( . 
At the Frankfurter International Airport came the hardest and saddest thing I've ever done! 
To say Goodbye to my grandparents!! We had such a good relationship to them, they lived 3 min away and I were there often after school, or at the weekends. It was really sad.. but we knew that before. 
Oh well, After we landed in Raleigh we went to our Hotel, we stayed the first 2 weeks there and then we moved into an apartment. Well, my mom and me because my sister was visiting her host family from her exchange year in 2009 and my dad was in Atlanta for his work. So I had to haul all the stuff into the apartment on 2nd floor. And it was so hot outside. 
Since we didn't bring furniture with us my mom and me had to sleep on air mattresses. I think we had to sleep on them for almost 2 months. My Dad has to work a lot in different States so most of the time he isn't at home.. 
But one day we went to Ikea and bought a lot of stuff. This was so cool :D.  

The whole Start here was hard. Take the school. We went there to ask to register me and they said I have to take a Test first and we have to go to WCPSS. 
So we went there and waited a very long time, but then we finally were on the row, but we forgot to bring something, so we had to come again. This time it took even longer, but we didn't forgot anything and they registered me. 
Then we asked for the English test, twice, and they said it's going to be taking at School. 
So we went to the School on another day and I chose the classes that I wanted to take, but then they asked us for the Test and we told them that they said it's going to be taking here. 
Well, it wasn't. I had to take the Test at the WCPSS. 
I wasn't really surprised that it didn't work as it should be, but such things, you just have to take with a smile :). 
So we made an appointment for the Test, I took the Test I went back to the School and this time everything worked. This was on a Friday and on Monday was my first School day  so I was really excited and I looked for the Rooms with my Mom, after we were done. 
For the first Semester my Classes are :
- Sculpture and Ceramics
- Theater Arts I
- Marine Ecology
- Civics/ Economics
and for the second Semester:
- Algebra II (well, I think so, II or III ;) )
- English III
- Healthful Living
- Microsoft Power Point

But the first Semester is almost over and the Classes were really fun! Now I'm excited for the next Semester, though I'll miss some of my Classmates. 
The whole thing is exciting, because the School here is waaay different than my old School in Germany!!!

I don't do any Sport yet, but I'm thinking of trying out for Softball in Spring.
But I went to Young Life Club and this is so much fun! One of my leaders can speak German and she was in Germany before. All the people there are really nice and I like it. :)

 Yeah.. and now we are more than 4 month here and it's really cool, though I miss my friends and family still really bad. 
But I think we're going to visit them next summer. 
Actually we were thinking of going home for Christmas, but it wouldn't have been worth it, because I only have a little bit more then 1 week off. 
Buuut the cool thing is, that we're going to NEW YORK!!! 
I'm sooo excited!!! I've never been in NY before but I think it's going to be awesome!! :)
And the best thing is, that there's a Handball tournament over 2 days and there will be some German Players, too. 
So yeah..

The last 3 weeks in Germany began

In the last weeks happened a lot.
I had my Graduation from school. That was very cool. In the week before last we had a spirit week that was so amazing.
On Monday we masquerade as Hippies. On Tuesday we came with pajamas pillows to school. On Wednesday the boys wore dresses and skirts and put on a long hair wig, they looked so funny :D .
And the girls wore boy clothes, it was amazing.
On Thursday we looked like we'ld came right out of the trash.
And on Friday it was Beachday. We came in shorts with towels and water pistols.






That was on Monday.

In the last week we had one special day. It's a tradition in Germany. All pupils from 10th grade "attack" the school. The day before we mask the windows with paper of our school and decorated our assembly hall. the next day was a "regular" schoolday for all the others so we (the 10th grade) get together at our school in the morning and waited for the other pupils and teachers. We listened to music and had fun. At 8 a.m. we went into the assembly hall and played some games with the pupils and teachers we prepared first. Then we showed a video with photos and videos of our last days at the school we took before.
It was just an amazing time :)
The next day we were in a theme park called "Heide Park". That was so cool. There are some great rollercoaster.
On Friday was Prom..
I sat over 3 hours at the hairdresser!!  That was soo long..
But at the end it was worth it.
So after hairdresser I got ready for the church service. After that we went to school and got our diplomas after some beautiful speeches of our classteachers. I was really glad with my diploma. Then I had to hurry up. I had to change my clothes and jewelery and then we drove to the promparty.
It was really good and fun but also sad.
At the next day my sister had prom. That was also really cool.
Now I'm out of school and I have summer vacation.
I went on some birthdaypartys and met friends, but most of the time I grab my stuff into boxes.
For some days we put an announce in the newspaper that we sell our furniture. That was for today.
So some furniture is sold and our house is a little bit more empty. But that's good.
I'm really excited about living in the USA :)

This and that...

I don't really know what I shall write, so I'll write about the last few days.
Friday:
Friday was the last schoolday before weekend. In the last 2 hours of school we had music. Thats always fun! We had to play a composition on a Xylophone. Mara and me were at one big Xylophone, like always when we have to play something on them.
We were laughing all the time. It was fun. After that we sang some Christmas songs like
"Last Christmas". After the two very funny hours it was WEEKEND!!!!
At that day I went to my Grandparents and build a little gingerbreadhouse.
Saturday:
Saturday I slept looooong. I was really tired from that week. In the afternoon I had a Handballmatch.
Sadly we lost it. I love Handball!! It's so much fun, and the right kind of sport for me. When I'm in the US next year I would like to play LaCrosse, maybe it's as good as Handball.. we will see.. :)
In the evening I was at Kristins home. We watched a movie and talked about everything. We watched freaky friday and I was laughing a lot. Kristin was more laughing about me than about the film :D but thats okay..
Sunday:
Sunday was the last day of the weekend -,-.. I was at home. I watched TV and was very bored.
When I was in the internet I found two very cool musicians. They have their own channel at YouTube. It called AnthMello, because one of them called Anth(ony) Melo. They are really good. They covered a lot of songs like this one:

Monday:
Today I was at school and had a lot of fun. Yes I had fun at school ;) .  We had P.E and I love sport so Monday is the best day :D
This evening I have Handball training. It'll be cool, but exhausting! :)
So this was the very short weekend and the first and last schooldays..
Not very interesting huh?!..haha..
Well, the next time it will be more interesting, because it's Christmas time!!!!

My awesome fall vacation

In the first week of my fall vacation I met friends, went to Guetersloh and do stuff like that.
One evening, Jamie, Celine, Carina, Luisa and I were at Kristins home. We watched the movie
BLACK SWAN!!! This film is seriously a thriller! Oh well... After that film, though we were very scared and it was dark, we went to a restaurant. Well, that was actually really fun. :)
With these guys I was also in Guetersloh. Thats always fun! But the most important thing in my vacation were the last two weeks.
We were in the USA again. This time we were in Cary/ Morrisville, near Raleigh in North Carolina.
It's a really beautiful area! And it's the area were probably moving to, next year. We watched out some High Schools for me and a College for my sister.
At first we drove to the Cary High School. My sister asked for an appointment for a tour around the high school. Then we were at the Panther Creek High school, but sadly there aren't such appointments.
After that we were at the Green Hope High School. We also asked for an appointment and got a lot of information stuff about the School. The people there very very nice and interested. After the two tours I want to go to the Green Hope High School. Next year we have to apply for this school.
One day we were at an College for my sister. The University of  North Carolina (UNC). It was really interesting to see a College. I think my sister wants to go to this College, but she also wanted to watch out for other Colleges. My school is in Morrisville. We drove to some neighbourhoods, to see what they look like and we loved it!
The other days we went shopping, to daddys work, oh and we went to a footballgame! That was sooo cool! I loved it! It was the game Carolina panthers vs. Minnesota Vikings. Though we lost this game in the last view minutes it was good. We didn't knew that such games are like familiytrips. With camping gear, BBQ and these funny woodboard games. And the stadium is sooo big! I couldn't believe! It was a great atmosphere.
I love the idea to live there!!!
It was an awesome time!

Sweet sixteen

Yesterday I was on a sweet sixteen party of a friend. It was really cool. We partied under a huge tent in the frontyard with cool music, beautiful lights, delicious food and a lot for drinking. The hole atmosphere was great and we had a lot of fun!! The party started at 6p.m. but before I was going to this party I backed monsterbrownies with Celine and Jamie. Though we did something wrong it was fun and still delicious. The monsterbrownies were also a gift for Luisa, so we decorated it with candles and a lot of crumbles, oh and we wrote sweet sixteen on it. Then it was 6p.m. and we drove to luisas house. But the brownies were not the only gift for luisa, we also gave her a bag, a bracelet and a scarf.
After we ate something and talked with the others it was dark and we danced a little bit.
All in all it was a great party.
So and today I'm goning to the Cítyfestival with some friends.  I love the Cityfestival, you met so much people and theres good music. I have to relish it, cause its probably the last Cityfestival in Herzebrock.
And I'll met some other friends. So I'm really excited :)

Zeltlager 2011 and my first blog..

So this is my first blog :).. I'm going to write it in English, to improve my English. So sorry for the mistakes :). This blog is about my last year (probable my last year) in Germany. Cause we would like to move to the USA next year. When my mom told me about their plans I thought "no way"! But last year we were in the USA for 3 weeks. My sister had made a high school year in washington state and my family and I visited her. We hired a car and drove along the westcoast and after this trip I loved the idea to move to the US. Ja and now I'm writing about my last year in Germany.
We have summer holidays and the last 12 days I were in Bleialf with the ST. Christina Ferienlager and it was the greatest time I had in this holidays.
This time we were in little houses instead of tents, but it was O.K..
Actually me and 9 other friends should sleep in one house, but the houses were too small and so we took two houses. In every house were 5 of us. We and some other people were the oldest ones and so it was our last year. But we had a lot of fun!
There are three sorts of people  who take part with this organisation.
1. The "Küchenscharben" They are helping the cook to make the breakfast, lunch and dinner
2. The "Betreuer" they are like a tutor. They are older and had the charge.
3. The "Koten" . All kids who take part with this organisation called Koten. You are allowed to take part from 12-15 years and after that you had to make a break. One year. After this break you are allowed to take part as Scharbe and after that you are allowed to take part as a betreuer.
So.. and every tentgroup has the challenge to guard our Wimpel ( thats a banner who is affixed at a log). Because some older Betreuer which hasnt got the time to be a betreuer, sometimes try to steal the Wimpel. Thats always a lot of fun. Every night there is the first( 10:00pm-02:00am) and the second (02:00am- 06:00am) night watch. and every tentgroup has one day the first and an other day the second night watch. And every nightwatch has a bonfire. Then some people sat down around the wimpel and the other ones sat down around the bonfire. Its so funny because in the dark you see something and think its an snatcher whos going to steal the wimpel, but when you turn around and have a look to the same place 2 seconds later he's gone.  It' also funny to telling a spine-chiller. Then you see more scary things in the dark. But we are not the whole time in the Camp. We often go hiking. Maybe you think that hiking sucks but its fun,too. We are alwys talking and singing and at each hike are different stations where you have to solved different tasks. Like running with a spoon in your mouth and an egg on the spoon.
Or we play games in the camp. We also have freetime. Mostly we were playing volleyball or slack lining.
This year was one of the best years!!! Thank you guys that you made the best time of the year memorable!!
